Plant secondary metabolites play an important role in the oxidative balance in gastrointestinal tract of animals and humans and can play an important role in fighting climate change. Currently, I am building up my own research group and the research area in which we use biotechnology and metabolomics for extraction/fractionation, quantification and identification of bioactive compounds (from willow, hemp and seaweeds) to develop products/additives for methane reduction in cows.
