Thomas Mailund, Bioinformatics Research Centre, has been granted 7 million DKK for his project ”Ancestral Population Genomics” within the Danish Council for Independent Research’s career programme Sapere Aude.

PhD student Zsuzsanna Sükösd won the prize for best oral presentation at the Student Council Symposium of the 11th European Conference on Computational Biology, held in Basel, Switzerland, September 8-12, 2012. The title of her talk was: "PPfold 3.0: Fast RNA secondary structure prediction using phylogeny and auxiliary data".
