This course is aimed at graduate students in computer science and bioinformatics. It requires knowledge of programming, algorithms, and data structures. The course is split into two parts: Algorithms in Bioinformatics - Sequences in Q1, and Algorithms in Bioinformatics - Trees and Structures in Q2.
The participants will after the course have detailed knowledge of algorithms for comparison and analysis of biological sequences (DNA, RNA and protein) and practical experience with implementation of these algorithms. The working method of the course will also train the participants to plan and complete projects and to communicate professional issues.
