Statistical Methods in Bioinformatics

Statistical methods play a central role in many areas of bioinformatics. In some instances bioinformatics challenges have been instrumental in the development of new tools and methods in statistics and applied probability. Bioinformatics is a growing interdisciplinary topic driven by advances in computers and biotechnology. The purpose of this course is to provide a sound footing for students who wish to become involved in bioinformatics.
